Investment Programs Associate

Lysander Funds is an independent Investment Fund Manager located in Toronto, Ontario. Role: 
Working as part of Lysander’s Operations/Investment Programs team, this role will provide support in the areas of day-to-day operations, investment oversight and automation of tasks. This role may also work closely with and support Lysander’s IT and Operations teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the maintenance of existing automated tasks involving Excel and VBA.
  • Identify and build automation for operational tasks involving large data.
  • Assist in performing and enhancing portfolio oversight program for Lysander Funds.
  • Support the launch of any new programs and business initiatives.
  • Provide oversight in the daily, quarterly, and annual operations of various funds, which includes NAV calculations, performance reporting, marketing materials, etc.
  • Assist in the preparation of reporting packages including financial statements, MRFP reporting, renewal of Fund documents etc.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of applicable securities and other legislation.
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with colleagues and service providers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of operational systems and associated controls and procedures.
  • Other job-related tasks as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Excellent Excel and VBA or other programming skills.
  • Post-secondary education/University Degree with a concentration in Finance, Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics or Data Science preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail while managing large data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player mind-set and is collaborative, adaptable, committed, dependable and open minded.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites (VBA programming experience is an asset).
  • Ability to manage projects involving multiple tasks and to prioritize.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
